Applied methods

Visual inspection

We assess overall condition, thread wear, plastic deformation and mechanical damage.

Liquid penetrant

This technique is ideal for finding surface-breaking discontinuities on flat faces, machined surfaces and non-ferrous areas.

Fluorescent magnetic particles

Fluorescent particles are our highest-sensitivity method. For tools with threaded connections it is ideal: particles flow through the thread roots and, under black light, reveal microcracks present in the tools.
